Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Wastewater Operator to support day-to-day operations of a wastewater facility in Minnesota. You will handle maintenance, data collection, and basic lab-style tasks while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, reading work orders, and collaborating with the team to ensure reliable treatment and compliance. Weekend and on-call shifts may be required, with ongoing focus on EH&S excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 2 years of experience in water/wastewater or related fields.
• Strong reading, math, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and CMMS knowledge.
• Safety conscious and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater facilities in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping in plant areas.
• Understand and execute written/work orders and instructions.
• Collect water quality samples and maintain records.
• Learn and utilize CMMS to schedule and complete work orders.
• Work weekends, holidays and be on-call as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and work overtime as required.
