Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC seeks an Operator to maintain wastewater treatment processes and the integrity of the collection system. The role includes rounds, lab testing, preventive maintenance, and using digital software to log data.

You will participate in an on-call rotation outside regular shifts, support contractors and engineers, and uphold MA DEP regulations while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Associate's/Bachelor's in a science or technical area strongly preferred.
• 1-5 years of wastewater treatment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors treatment process and equipment via in person and remote inspection.
• Collects and analyzes wastewater, solids, and sewage samples for permit compliance and process control.
• Records plant data in logs and digital software.
• Performs preventative and emergency maintenance for plant and collections system.
• Participates in on-call rotation for weekend/holiday and off-hours coverage.
• Assists with upgrades, repairs and connections by sub-contractors, engineers and outside personnel.
• Assists with maintenance of building and grounds (landscaping, plowing, cleaning, painting, trash removal).
• Complies with MA DEP regulations.
• Ensures safety standards are met.
