Job summary

The Town of Collierville is seeking a Plant Mechanic to join the Public Utilities Waste Water Treatment Plant Division. You will perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of equipment essential to the plant's operation.

This position requires hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and a commitment to keeping community infrastructure reliable. A valid CDL and relevant experience are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with concentration in a vocational program.
• Four years' experience in operation and repair of wastewater pumping equipment or wastewater treatment plant equipment, at least one year in a mechanical maintenance role.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance work on pumps, valves, motors, flow control devices, and other plant equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace worn components, and document inspections and repairs.
