The City of Statesboro is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair work at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and associated facilities. The role includes servicing pumps, lift stations, and wells, and handling preventive maintenance tasks to ensure reliable operations.

Responsibilities include repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, welding/fabrication assistance, and maintaining detailed time and material records.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience required.
• Valid State of Georgia Driver's License required.

Mansioni

• Maintain and repair wastewater treatment plant equipment, sewage lift stations, and city drinking water wells.
• Repair or rebuild mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and pumps; maintain department vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance: grease pumps, clean wet wells, change filters/belts/seals.
• Maintain records for pumps, wells, motors and lift stations; log books and time/materials.
• Operate equipment such as backhoe, skid loader, dump truck, front-end loader.
• Assist in welding and fabricating parts and equipment.
• Maintain stock of parts and supplies; perform plumbing, building and carpentry repairs.
• Perform general shop housekeeping and vehicle cleaning.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies.
