The City of Columbia SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain and repair equipment at the wastewater treatment plant and lift stations. The role requires following procedures, working under close supervision, and being available for call-outs.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, one year of relevant experience, and valid SC licenses. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and on-call responsibilities including weekends and holidays.

Formación

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of relevant prior experience.
• Valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License, with B CDL and tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 9 months.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, maintain and repair wastewater treatment plant equipment and lift stations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and related plant equipment; keep records.
• Respond to inquiries and assist customers and the public regarding responsibilities.
