Job summary

Home Market Foods is seeking a Waste Water Treatment Operator to manage the wastewater pre-treatment plant in compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a 2nd shift role (1:30PM–9:30PM) with occasional Saturdays and extended hours during vacations, plus on-call duties.

Responsibilities include controlling plant operations, preventive maintenance, reporting, and coordinating with management and regulatory agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial wastewater operations and treatment techniques.
• Familiarity with chemistry, plumbing, electrical and engineering principles.
• Ability to inspect, test and repair wastewater processing systems.
• Licenses and certifications listed in the education section are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant in compliance with permit.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on treatment equipment and controls.
• Write reports on plant operations and communicate with management and agencies.
• Backfill staffing outages and participate in on-call/emergency response.
• Support revision of operating procedures and compliance plans as needed.

First Aid and CPR certification (desired)
