Job summary

Wind River Environmental LLC in Massachusetts is seeking a Plant Operator II to manage sewage, FOG, and sludge processing, ensuring compliant, high-quality effluent. You report to the Plant Manager and handle reporting, clerical tasks, and daily plant operations on the 2nd shift (3 PM – 11:30 PM).

This role requires a valid wastewater operator certification, a driver’s license, and ability to pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a drug screen and physical.
• Strong mechanical and process background with pumps, valves, hydraulics.
• Basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment per SOPs.
• Read controls, adjust processes, and monitor plant performance.
• Perform routine lab tests (TSS, COD, pH) and record results.
• Maintain operational logs and compliance documents.
• Order chemicals and complete monthly reports.
• Identify equipment or process issues and perform minor maintenance.
