Job summary

Wind River Environmental, LLC is seeking a Plant Operator II to manage sewage and wastewater processing, ensuring quality effluent and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. This role reports to the Plant Manager and supports reporting and clerical duties.

2nd shift (3 PM – 11:30 PM) with CDL not required. Responsibilities include monitoring panels, testing water quality, maintaining logs, coordinating chemical additions, and ensuring safe, reliable plant operation.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification recognized by state DEP.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to pass a drug screen and physical examination.
• Strong mechanical and process background with pumps, valves, hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater, sludge, and FOG treatment systems.
• Monitor control panels and adjust plant operations.
• Perform routine lab tests: TSS, COD, pH, and related analyses.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and compliance documentation.
• Inspect pumps, valves, blowers, and instrumentation for issues.
• Order chemicals and complete monthly operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
