Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with wastewater treatment experience or training.
• Massachusetts Class V Wastewater Treatment License.
• Ability to obtain boiler operating license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, good judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to environmental compliance and safety.
• Ability to work independently on third shift while coordinating with Maintenance, Operations, vendors, and regulatory partners.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant to ensure safe, reliable, compliant operations.
• Collect samples, test water, maintain accurate daily records, and support inspections.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs on pumps, valves, and instruments.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance and work with outside vendors.
• Monitor aeration, gas compression, centrifuge, scrubber, glycol trap, and related equipment.
• Identify process improvements and support spill recovery and cleanup.
• Participate in remote monitoring, on-call coverage, and after-hours response.
