Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Wastewater Supervisor in the United States (Georgia/Ashburn area) to lead water and wastewater operations, supervise staff, and ensure regulatory reporting. This role focuses on cost-efficient standards and continuous improvement across treatment processes.

You will manage sampling, reporting, and budgeting, while coordinating with city authorities and internal teams to optimize water reuse and performance. Strong leadership and compliance mindset required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in water/wastewater, biology, chemistry, or related material.
• 1–3 years of water and wastewater systems experience, or >3 years without post-secondary education.
• Pre-treatment wastewater operator’s license within one year.
• Fork-lift trainer certification within one year.
• Poultry processing experience preferred.
• CDL within 6 months of employment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Proven leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise water and wastewater treatment and related areas.
• Lead operators, training and motivation for quality and productivity.
• Manage daily sampling for regulatory reporting (Phosphorus, TSS, BOD, FOG).
• Compile reports for water, wastewater, and storm water; ensure compliance.
• Liaise with City of Arcadia’s Water/Wastewater Dept and City Utility Commission, monthly DMR.
• Complete Discharge Monitoring Reports monthly.
• Develop goals, objectiv es and department budget; monitor variances.
• Research cost-efficient standards for the department.
• Maintain equipment in water/wastewater dept; oversee maintenance.
• Oversee bi-product trailer scheduling, moving, and loading.
• Monitor water usage and optimize sampling protocols and reuse.
• Certify forklift operators.
• Assist other departments on reuse, quality, and process improvements.
• Collaborate on Environmental Audits and Operational Excellence Program.
