Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Wastewater Supervisor to oversee water treatment, wastewater operations, by-products logistics, and storm water controls at our Arcadia facility. You will supervise staff, ensure regulatory reporting, and drive cost-efficient standards.

Responsibilities include daily sampling, reporting (DMR, TRI), liaison with city departments, maintenance supervision, and support for continuous improvement through safety and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with courses in water/wastewater, biology, chemistry, or related subject.
• 1–3 years of water/wastewater experience; more than 3 years if no post-secondary.
• Possess, or willing to obtain within one year, a pre-treatment wastewater operator’s license.
• Forklift trainer certification or willing to obtain within one year.
• Poultry processing experience preferred.
• Experience driving a tractor/trailer; willingness to obtain a CDL within 6 months.
• Strong communication with fellow team members and management.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Computer experience in Microsoft programs.
• Considerable skills and experience in leading and developing people.

Responsibilities

• Supervise water and wastewater treatment processes and related areas.
• Train, develop, and motivate department operators.
• Manage daily sampling for Phosphorus, TSS, BOD, and FOG.
• Prepare discharge and regulatory reports including TRI, EPA, DNR requirements.
• Liaise with City of Arcadia Water/Wastewater Dept and Utility Commission.
• Maintain equipment and oversee bi-product trailer movements.
• Oversee budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement and safety programs.
