Job summary

The City of Atlanta is seeking a seasoned supervisor for the Water Reclamation operations at multiple facilities. You will oversee staff, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with state and federal permit requirements while driving safety and quality initiatives.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least five years in industrial waste inspections or wastewater monitoring, with three years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Education and experience: high school diploma and five years in industrial waste inspections or wastewater monitoring with leadership experience.
• Georgia driver's license required; GACE certification or ability to obtain it.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree and five years in industrial waste inspections, wastewater monitoring, and/or compliance with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign, coordinate, and supervise departmental activities for water reclamation, water quality facilities, CSO systems, and pumping stations.
• Supervise staff, attend and facilitate status meetings, and direct plant maintenance and operations to meet permit requirements.
• Mentor staff, provide on-job-training (OJT), and address safety concerns and performance appraisals.
• Review reports and control information to ensure compliance and prepare equipment maintenance schedules.
