Job summary

Pilgrim’s Environmental Health & Safety team in Douglas, GA seeks a Waste Water Supervisor to lead water treatment, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive cost-efficient improvements in a high-volume poultry processing facility.

The role includes supervising staff, managing sampling and reporting, coordinating with city agencies, and developing departmental budgets while improving processes and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary coursework in water/wastewater or related field.
• 1–3+ years in water/wastewater systems; more if no post-secondary.
• Willing to obtain pre-treatment wastewater operator license within one year.
• Forklift trainer certification or willing to obtain within one year.
• CDL willingness within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise water and wastewater treatment operations.
• Train and motivate department operators.
• Manage daily sampling for regulatory reporting.
• Compile reports for water, wastewater, and stormwater permits.
• Liaise with City of Arcadia and utility board; monthly DMR.
• Develop goals and department budget; monitor variances.
• Research cost-efficient standards; maintain equipment.
• Oversee bi-product trailer loading and scheduling.
• Support water reuse initiatives and improvements.
