Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Operator to operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment at our Michigan facility. You will handle primary and secondary treatment processes, monitor meters, logs, and control panels, and assist with special testing routines.

The role supports safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, up to two years of related experience, and the ability to read and follow English instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Zero to two years of experience in a related water/wastewater position.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to learn and operate plant equipment.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processes including primary and secondary treatment.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Read meters, gauges, and log readings.
• Train and direct other operators as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and assist with field tests and sampling.
