Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Wastewater Operator to support day-to-day operation and maintenance of the SBR treatment facility, collections system, lift stations, and aquifer recharge for effluent disposal. You will perform routine tasks, collect water samples, and maintain records in CMMS.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and up to 2 years in water/wastewater, with strong math and reading skills, safety awareness, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 2 years of experience in water/wastewater industry or related fields.
• Strong reading, math, writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater facilities and systems to meet regulations.
• Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping and data recording tasks.
• Read and execute work orders; perform simple calculations.
• Learn CMMS to schedule and complete work orders.
• Collect water quality samples and maintain records.
• Work weekends, holidays and be on-call as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and assist EH&S initiatives.
