City of Panama City Beach is seeking a Lift Station Mechanic at multiple levels to maintain and repair sewer lift stations. You will perform inspections, repairs, and testing, respond to emergencies, and manage pumps, pipes, and electrical systems.

This role requires hands-on mechanical experience with wastewater systems and appropriate FW&PCOA certifications. The position includes on-call duties, field work outdoors, and equipment operation such as forklifts and boom trucks.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced wastewater training preferred.
• Mechanic C/B/A levels require FW&PCOA certification and forklift card.
• Multiple years of experience with wastewater lift stations for higher levels.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and testing of lift stations.
• Respond to on-call emergency and trouble calls.
• Pull and replace pumps; repair pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Work on pump station electrical and control systems; test alarms.
• Maintain logs, test odorous gas records, and manage stock on truck.
• Operate boom truck; transport generators and trailer pumps when needed.
