Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. seeks a Lift Station Mechanic to perform mechanical repair and maintenance of wastewater lift stations. Duties include inspections, pump replacements, pipe and valve repairs, and testing of electrical and control systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience; FWPCOA certifications at higher levels are preferred. Office and field work with on-call emergencies; forklift operation and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related mechanical experience preferred.
• One year of experience with wastewater lift stations for Mechanic C.
• Three years of experience with wastewater lift stations for Mechanic B.
• Five years of experience with wastewater lift stations for Mechanic A; FW&PCOA Class A certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain lift stations daily and perform regular maintenance.
• Respond to emergency and trouble calls on-call.
• Pull pumps and replace pumps as needed.
• Repair pipes, valves, and fittings at lift stations.
• Test alarm systems and maintain operation logs.
