Job summary

HDR's Water Business Group seeks a WTEM Business Class Director to lead technical capabilities and strategic direction for wastewater treatment and effluent management programs. You will mentor leaders, coordinate with market sectors, manage risk, and drive client-focused quality and growth across HDR's national footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration is required for leadership roles involving technical design.
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other HDR business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, business groups and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management through process and resource reviews, providing technical advisory services on projects, and claims prevention and avoidance.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes and coordinate with the WBG Quality Manager in those areas.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Oversee staff assignment to projects with effective use of worksharing.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors and provide input to leadership at multiple levels.
• Lead engagement with research organizations to advance WTEM capabilities and translate research into practice.
• Lead relationships with university programs to support workforce development and recruiting pipelines.
• Facilitate teamwork across offices and functions to implement WTEM initiatives.

Education
