Job summary

El Dorado Irrigation District (CA) is seeking a Collection System Supervisor to plan, direct, and supervise the operation and maintenance of its wastewater collection system. This role leads hands-on crews responsible for pipelines, lift stations, and related facilities, ensuring compliance with state regulations and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will manage emergency responses, coordinate with other districts and agencies, and develop technical reports.

Qualifications

• Four years of increasingly responsible experience in operation and maintenance of a complex wastewater system.
• Two years of supervisory experience over assigned personnel.
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license; Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection system.
• Oversee pipelines, lift stations, and related facilities; coordinate construction, repair and inspection work.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
• Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures; provide cost estimates for equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with District departments and outside agencies; maintain public relations.
