The City of Riverside is seeking a Wastewater Mechanical Supervisor to supervise mechanical maintenance and operations in the Collections System Maintenance Division of the Public Works department.

The incumbent will plan, schedule, and supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical equipment, maintain CMMS records, monitor inventory, and provide input for budget development while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Two years' supervisory experience.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsabilités

• Plan, schedule, assign, supervise, and participate in the installation, maintenance and repair of all mechanical equipment controlled by the wastewater division.
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to monitor and improve the productivity of assigned personnel.
• Review and screen work requests for completeness, accuracy and necessity.
• Perform detailed job preparation including scope, steps, estimates, materials and safety concerns.
• Inspect the work of personnel and crews engaged in maintenance and repairs; assist in inspection of sewer facilities.
• Supervise and participate in troubleshooting and repairing defects within mechanical equipment.
• Order and maintain inventory of equipment, materials and parts.
• Provide input for budget development.
• Supervise, train and evaluate subordinates; ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Respond to emergency calls and resolve complaints related to treatment plant and sewer systems.
