City of Las Cruces is seeking a Wastewater Operations Supervisor to assist the Plant Manager in daily operations of wastewater treatment and water reclamation facilities. The role involves overseeing staff, coordinating with engineers and inspectors, and responding to emergencies to maintain service continuity.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate Degree in Water Technology and a Class A CDL with Level IV Wastewater Certification.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Water Technology or related field; four years of wastewater collection system maintenance and operation experience including lead/supervisory duties.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license and Level IV Wastewater Certification; acceptable driving record per policy.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and supervise work crews for operation, maintenance, and repair of lift stations, sewer lines, and manholes.
• Consult with purchasing and vendors to procure supplies within budget.
• Meet with engineering staff and inspectors to review plans and system setup.
• Respond to emergencies to restore services and functionality.
• Develop and administer budgets, supervise staff, ensure policy compliance.
