Job summary

Water Otter Job Board is seeking a Wastewater Mechanical Supervisor in Riverside to oversee mechanical maintenance at the treatment plant and collection system. The role requires supervising staff, managing CMMS records, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate should have four years of mechanical maintenance experience with at least two in supervision, and hold CWEA certifications (Grade II/III) with a Class B CDL or higher as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years in mechanical maintenance with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and CMMS.
• Possession of valid California driver license (Class B) within 12 months for Collections Maintenance.
• Relevant CWEA certifications required for supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and participate in installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in wastewater treatment and collection systems.
• Use CMMS to monitor and improve productivity; screen work requests for completeness and safety.
• Prepare job scopes, procedures, man-hour estimates, materials, and safety considerations.
• Inspect work, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to safety regs; order and manage inventory and parts.
• Assist in budget input and participate in mechanical management activities and meetings.
• Respond to emergencies and document maintenance and repair activities.
