Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Baltimore, MD seeks a Loader/Unloader for our medical waste treatment facility. You will perform container check-in, weigh waste, operate an autoclave, and load a washing system while maintaining precise paperwork and quality standards.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, ability to lift 50–75 lb containers, and willingness to pass a 5-panel drug test plus a 7-year background check. This is a full-time position with 3rd shift hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR; previous warehouse/labor experience is required.
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening and a 7 year background check.
• Ability to read/record weights accurately; familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Lift 55lbs bins and push a 200lb cart.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate autoclave machine.
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and attention to detail.

Job description

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Baltimore, MD. A Loader/Unloader has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!

What are we looking for?

• Must have a VALID driver's license and clean MVR!!
• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accuratelyFamiliarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE
• Proven longevity with employers
• Can-do attitude!!
