Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Loader/Unloader for a medical waste treatment facility. You will lift heavy bins, weigh containers, operate an autoclave and Washsmart system, and ensure accurate paperwork while working on a team.

This is a full-time role with benefits and a steady Monday–Friday 2nd shift (4:30PM–1AM). The job requires a valid driver's license with a clean MVR, a willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks, and comfort with PPE and

Qualifications

• Must have a VALID driver's license and clean MVR.
• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job with repetitive lifting of 50–75 lb containers.
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening.
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Standing for extended periods in PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lifting 55lbs bins and pushing a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate the autoclave machine.
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Maintain attention to detail with the required paperwork.
• Stand for extended periods and work well with a team.

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Baltimore, MD. A Loader/Unloader has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!

What are we looking for?

• Must have a VALID driver's license and clean MVR!!
