Job summary

Daniels Health in Walton, KY seeks a Plant Operator to support our medical waste treatment facility. Responsibilities include checking in containers, weighing waste, loading autoclave and Washsmart systems, and maintaining accurate paperwork.

A forklift and team-oriented attitude are essential for daily success. The role offers full-time hours on a Sunday-Thursday night shift (9:30 PM–6:00 AM) with benefits starting day one; non-seasonal, essential healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse labor-intensive experience.
• Willingness to pass a 5-panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to pass a 7-year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Comfort with PPE and standing for extended periods.
• Proven longevity with employers.

Responsibilities

• Lifting 55lbs bins and pushing a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials).
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system).
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers.
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably.
• Working well with a team!

We are looking to hire an operator for our Daniels' medical waste treatment facility in Walton, KY. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE
• Proven longevity with employers
• Can-do attitude!!
