Job summary

Daniels Health in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Class A CDL driver to support our healthcare waste program in the MD/DC area.

You will operate up to 53ft trucks, safely collect and deliver medical waste containers, log DOT hours, and maintain superb customer service and professionalism while adhering to DOT regulations.

This full-time direct hire role offers a 5 PM–5 AM third shift, a $32.00 per hour rate, day-one benefits, overtime opportunities, and a $3,000 new hire bonus after probation.

Qualifications

• Class A license with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight trucks/tractor trailers up to 53 ft.
• Pass DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse review (7 Year FADV).
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.

Responsibilities

• Deliver throughout MD/DC.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Baltimore, MD area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

What will your job involve?

• Delivering throughout MD/DC
• Operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!

What are we looking for?

• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!
