Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Account Manager in Minnesota to proactively maintain and grow relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste customers. You will sell the full suite of Republic Services products, manage renewals, and participate in pricing initiatives while using Salesforce daily.

The role emphasizes retaining customers, cross-selling, and coordinating with operations to resolve issues. A valid driver's license and 1 year of sales experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant sales experience (Required).
• Valid driver’s license (Required).
• Preferred: Waste or transportation industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and retains existing customers by building long-term relationships and loyalty.
• Develops knowledge of services, pricing, and offers to existing customers.
• Performs contract re-signs to extend relationships and profitability where appropriate.
• Responds to cancellation requests per escalation policy.
• Communicates pricing initiatives to customers and documents activities in Salesforce.
• Captures customer emails and minimizes rate restrictions and credits.
• Increases penetration by selling full Republic Services products.
• Meets with Sales Manager to review retention activities and status of key relationships.
• Collaborates with operations to address customer service issues.
• Participates in company-sponsored events to raise visibility.
