Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, and other equipment on-site. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic maintenance, and on-site earth moving and yard work while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe, dozer, or off-road truck.
• Must pass written and operational tests to be certified on each machine.
• Hazardous waste management training within six months (Specific to Boyd).

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently per regulations and policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, fueling, and cleaning.
• Move waste materials and support on-site roll-off and yard work.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Handle earth moving and site preparation tasks as required.
