Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a proficient Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate a range of heavy machinery at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations.

You will perform pre/post-operation inspections, monitor equipment and waste quality, and execute routine servicing to keep operations efficient and safe. This role emphasizes adherence to safety standards and timely reporting of issues.

Qualifications

• Two years’ prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Safely operate equipment including forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and others.
• Monitor waste and equipment condition to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
