Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. You will inspect equipment, operate multiple heavy machines, monitor material quality, and perform minor maintenance while keeping the site safe and organized.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety policies, timely reporting of repairs, and maintaining operational readiness across shifts to support efficient waste handling operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe and clean.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain equipment operational readiness.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs to supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area at end of shift.
