Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Technician to support warranty service for homeowners. The role focuses on evaluating repair needs, performing carpentry, drywall, texture and painting work, and coordinating subcontractors to complete warranty tasks.

The candidate should have 3+ years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills to resolve issues promptly. Overtime and overnight travel may be required as part of field service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three or more years related experience including carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Must have a vehicle capable of carrying supplies, valid driver’s license, and be willing to drive among designated communities in daytime and nighttime.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to use warranty applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warrantable items.
• Process work orders and instructions for homeowner repairs.
• Perform repairs including carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors for warranty repairs.
• Ensure repairs meet compliance standards and complete warranty work as obligated.
• Maintain good rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Follow up with homeowners to address concerns promptly.
• Process documentation and invoices related to warranties.
