Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Customer Service Technician to maintain high homeowner satisfaction by facilitating warranty requests, performing repairs or coordinating subcontractors, and resolving issues after closing.

The role requires carpentry, drywall and painting experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. You will travel among communities and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three+ years related experience (carpentry, drywall, texture repair, painting).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel among communities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warrantable items.
• Process written or electronic work orders and verbal instructions.
• Perform repairs or coordinate subcontractors for warranty work.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors for designated repairs.
• Ensure all repairs meet compliance standards.
• Certify warranty work is completed as required.
• Build rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Follow up with homeowners to address concerns.
• Process charge-back documentation and invoices.
• Conduct work professionally to support customer satisfaction and company goodwill.
• Work overtime and travel as needed.
