Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Technician to handle warranty requests and coordinate repairs across our home communities.

The ideal candidate will perform carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting, and will manage subcontractors to complete warranty work. The role requires travel within designated communities, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong communication, MS Office skills, and independent work habits are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three+ years related experience including carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Vehicle and valid driver's license; ability to drive among communities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warrantable items.
• Process written/electronic work orders and/or instructions from supervisor for homeowner repairs.
• Perform repairs to homes (carpentry, drywall, texture repair, painting).
• Schedule subcontractors for warranty repairs.
• Ensure repairs meet compliance standards.
• Certify warranty work is completed per obligations.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Follow up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed timely.
• Process charge-back documentation and invoices.
