Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for the thrift store. You will support warehouse operations by loading, unloading, pricing merchandise, tracking numbers, maintaining clean work areas, and operating equipment safely to keep the facility organized.

You will participate in donation processing, assist donors, and ensure accurate receipts while building retail and customer service skills in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process various types of donations including clothing and accessories, household items, electronics, furniture and antiques, jewelry and collectibles
• Baler
• Compactor
• Forklift

• Other warehouse equipment
• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures

Job description

Location: Des Moines, IA

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday days
