Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Rockford, IL is seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations and assist program beneficiaries in work therapy development. You will help maintain an organized warehouse and contribute to meaningful community programs.

You will perform merchandise processing, donor support, and reporting tasks, with training provided and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Warehouse experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments.
• Price merchandise according to guidelines.
• Track production numbers and complete reports.
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs.
• Complete donation receipts accurately.
• Collect and track donor information.
• Process various types of donations including clothing, household items, electronics, furniture, antiques, jewelry and collectibles.

Location: Rockford, IL Pay: $15.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 25 hours per week, including mornings, afternoons and holidays as scheduled

You'll help maintain an organized warehouse while making a meaningful impact in people's lives.

What You’ll Do

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs

Equipment Operation May be trained to operate:

• Baler
• Compactor
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment
