Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Indianapolis. This full-time role involves hands-on warehouse tasks and support for program beneficiaries in work therapy development.

You will help maintain an organized warehouse, assist donors, and ensure accurate donation processing while learning and applying safety procedures. On-the-job training and team support are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Warehouse experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments.
• Price merchandise according to guidelines.
• Track production numbers and complete reports.
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs.
• Complete donation receipts accurately.
• Collect and track donor information.
• Process donations including clothing, household items, electronics, furniture, antiques, jewelry.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday

What You’ll Do

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process various types of donations including:
• Clothing and accessories
• Household items
• Electronics
• Furniture and antiques
• Jewelry and collectibles

Equipment Operation

May be trained to operate:

• Baler
• Compactor
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment

Training Provided

• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures
• Ongoing coaching and support from Warehouse leadership

Additional Information

What You Need

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma preferred
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Warehouse experience beneficial
