Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Des Moines is seeking a diligent Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations and assist program beneficiaries through work therapy development. You will help maintain an organized warehouse while contributing to meaningful community support.

This hands-on role offers paid training and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, pricing items, tracking donations, and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Warehouse experience beneficial.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments.
• Price merchandise according to guidelines.
• Track production numbers and complete reports.
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs.
• Complete donation receipts accurately.
• Collect and track donor information.
• Process various types of donations including clothing, household items, electronics, furniture and antiques.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:40 hours per week. Monday - Friday days

You'll help maintain an organized warehouse while making a meaningful impact in people's lives.

What You'll Do

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports

• Operate warehouse equipment as trained

Equipment Operation May be trained to operate:

• Baler
• Compactor
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma preferred
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Warehouse experience beneficial
