The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Des Moines is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to support donation processing and retail logistics. This full-time role offers a $14.00 per hour pay rate, Monday–Friday daytime shifts, and hands-on training in warehouse operations.

You will load and move merchandise, price items, track reports, assist donors, and maintain safety and organization. Benefits include employer-paid insurance, life and disability coverage, paid time off, and a 403(b) plan.

Schedule:40 hours per week. Monday - Friday days

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. This dynamic role combines hands-on warehouse operations with the opportunity to mentor and support program beneficiaries in their work therapy development. You'll help maintain an organized warehouse while making a meaningful impact in people's lives.

What You'll Do

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process various types of donations including:
• Clothing and accessories
• Household items
• Electronics
• Furniture and antiques
• Jewelry and collectibles

Equipment Operation May be trained to operate:

• Baler
• Compactor
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment

Training Provided

• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma preferred
