Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in Rockford, IL is seeking a part-time Warehouse Assistant to support thrift store operations and donation processing. The role involves hands-on warehousing tasks, organizing inventory, and assisting donors in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process clothing and accessories
• Process household items
• Process electronics
• Process furniture and antiques
• Process jewelry and collectibles
• Baler
• Compactor
• Forklift
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment
• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures

Job description

Location: Rockford, IL

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: 25 hours per week, including mornings, afternoons and holidays as scheduled

What You’ll Do

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
