Job summary

GEODIS in Tennessee is seeking a warehouse supervisor to coordinate daily DC activities, oversee staff and payroll, and drive efficiency improvements. The role emphasizes safety compliance, accurate inventory control, and timely reporting to leadership.

You will train new team members and help optimize workflows in a fast-paced logistics environment. The position requires 3–5 years of warehouse experience and at least 1 year of supervisory work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 to 5 years warehouse or distribution center experience.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse equipment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and labor systems.
• PC literacy with Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily activities within the distribution center.
• Supervises staff and directs work related to order fulfillment and inventory management.
• Prepares work schedules and responds to labor needs.
• Manages labor hours and payroll in the electronic timekeeping system.
• Interviews and trains prospective and new team members.
• Supports staff development, performance appraisals and conflict resolution.
• Ensures team understands performance goals and pursues process improvements.
• Reviews records for accuracy and stock level adequacy.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Schedules inventories and investigates discrepancies between records and actual stock.
• Assigns duties, checks for quality and ISO9002 conformance.
• Standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and prepares leadership reports.
• Maintains warehouse facilities and handles periodic service billing.
