Job summary

Amazon in Illinois is hiring an Area Manager at an entry level in a fulfillment center. You will lead a team of hourly Associates, mentor, and ensure safety, quality, and performance in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree, strong communication and customer service skills, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages, operate PIT equipment as applicable.
• Maintain safety, quality, attendance and performance standards.
