Job summary

Amazon in Illinois is recruiting an Area Manager to lead a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates on-site within a fulfillment network. You will coach, mentor, and develop staff to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals, with extensive onboarding and leadership development.

You will manage shifts, walk the floor, and adapt staffing to volume while ensuring a safe, clean environment and clear communication with support teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Walk the floor to stay connected with the team and drive safety, quality, productivity.
• Oversee deliveries and operate pallet-jack equipment on the floor.
• Set shift tone, lead huddles, and communicate priorities.
