Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for its Illinois operations to lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This entry-level, full-time role focuses on mentoring, safety, and performance across fulfillment centers and delivery stations.

You will manage 50-100 direct reports, work long shifts, including nights and weekends, and participate in training and development. Relocation benefits offered; sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)
