Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for a full-time, entry-level leadership role located within one of our fulfillment centers, sort centers, or delivery stations in Illinois. The position involves guiding a team of hourly associates and ensuring safe, efficient operations on the production floor.

You will receive extensive training to develop into an exceptional people leader, with focus on safety, quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Willing to work in a warehouse environment and lead 50–100 hourly associates.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50–100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks and PIT equipment.
• Maintain safety, quality, attendance and performance standards on the floor.
