Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team in a fast-paced, on-site warehouse environment in Illinois. You will mentor, motivate, and manage a group of hourly Associates across shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are met.

Training is provided to develop strong people leadership, with relocation support offered where eligible. Responsibilities include shift huddles, floor leadership, staffing adjustments, and cross-team collaboration to remove roadblocks and deliver

Qualifications

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment.
Walk the floor regularly to stay connected to your team and keep things running smoothly.
Drive results across safety, quality, and productivity.
Coach and develop your team members and remove roadblocks.
Wrap up administrative tasks and hand off to next shift.
