Job summary

Floor & Decor in Carson, CA seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to direct daily warehouse operations, supervise specialists and forklift operators, and support freight scheduling based on inventory needs. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities include scheduling staff, overseeing shipping/receiving, maintaining equipment, training associates, and enforcing SOPs while driving accurate inventory and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving
• Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse (shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control)
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging
• Maintain warehouse equipment and safety programs; ensure safe, efficient equipment for distribution
• Lead warehouse safety programs and training to meet OSHA regulations
• Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Coordinate with other departments to improve warehouse operations
• Complete activity reports for management and monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
• Oversee the Storage Buy Audit COP and inventory rotation
