Job summary

Roadtex Transportation seeks an experienced Service Center Manager to lead warehouse operations, optimize inventory control, and supervise staff in a high-volume distribution environment.

You will drive efficient processes, ensure safety compliance, and partner with procurement and sales to maintain stock accuracy and timely order fulfillment. Candidates should bring a strong track record of leading teams and improving warehouse performance in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field (preferred) OR similar experience
• 5 years proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control
• Proven track record in leading a successful team
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
• Ensure the warehouse layout optimizes space and operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels and prevent shortages or excess.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff.
• Schedule and supervise staff to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.
• Implement and enforce safety training programs for warehouse staff.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyors.
• Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with regulations.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and staff productivity.
• Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to warehouse processes and procedures.
• Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
