Job summary

Roadtex Transportation, now part of Echo Global Logistics, seeks a Service Center Manager to lead warehouse operations, inventory control, and staff supervision. The role focuses on efficient storage, order fulfillment, and adherence to safety policies.

The position requires a degree or equivalent experience, 5 years in a warehouse leadership role, and strong knowledge of WMS and MS Office. Candidates will drive process improvements and ensure high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field (preferred) OR similar experience
• 5 years proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control
• Proven track record in leading a successful team
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures
• Ensure the warehouse layout optimizes space and operational efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels and prevent shortages or excess
• Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies
• Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff
• Schedule and supervise staff to ensure optimal performance and coverage
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards
• Implement and enforce safety training programs for warehouse staff
• Oversee the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to order processing or delivery
• Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyors
• Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with regulations
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and staff productivity
• Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to warehouse processes and procedures
• Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
