Job summary

Roadtex Transportation is seeking a Service Center Manager to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and staff supervision. The role ensures efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

The candidate will lead proactive process improvements, coordinate with procurement and sales, and maintain high levels of order accuracy and customer service. Prior experience in a similar role is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field (preferred) OR similar experience.
• 5+ years proven experience as Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control.
• Proven track record in leading a successful team.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
• Ensure the warehouse layout optimizes space and operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels.
• Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff.
• Schedule and supervise staff to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and conveyors.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to warehouse processes.
