Job summary

Roadtex Transportation is seeking a Service Center Manager to lead warehouse operations, inventory management, and staff supervision across our distribution network. You will ensure efficient storage, accurate order fulfillment, and adherence to safety policies while coordinating with procurement and sales to optimize stock levels.

The role requires a strong background in warehouse management, WMS proficiency, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
5+ years proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control.
Proven track record in leading a successful team.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of applicable safety policies.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods.
Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
Ensure the warehouse layout optimizes space and operational efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels and prevent shortages or excess.
Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff.
Schedule and supervise staff to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.
Implement and enforce safety training programs for warehouse staff.
Oversee the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to order processing or delivery.
Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyors.
Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with regulations.
Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and staff productivity.
Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to warehouse processes and procedures.
Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
